Interested in learning Bowen Therapy?

Perhaps you’re already working in the health industry as a naturopath, massage therapist, nurse, midwife, chiropractor, or similar, and would like to add Bowen Therapy to your toolkit. Or maybe you’re new to holistic health and looking for a fresh start in this fast-growing industry. Regardless, you’ve probably had a positive experience with this gentle, soft-tissue modality, and are keen to share it with the world.

You’ve come to the right place!
We offer Australia’s only nationally-recognised training in Bowen Therapy and have been training Bowen Therapists since 2010. We are the only Registered Training Organisation (RTO41134) authorised to teach Bowtech, the Original Bowen Technique, which was developed by The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. The Academy has trained tens of thousands of Bowen Therapists in more than thirty countries around the world.

What is Bowen Therapy?

Developed in Geelong by Australian Thomas Ambrose Bowen (1916-1982), Bowen Therapy is a remedial body technique. It is a gentle form of soft-tissue manipulation that works with the connective tissue (fascia) of the body. Targeted movements are performed using the thumbs and fingers in a gentle rolling motion across muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Bowen Therapists aim to treat the causes of dysfunction and illness, rather than just the symptoms. Bowen Therapy is suitable for people of all ages, and in all kinds of health.

“Studying the Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy in 2019 has opened the doors to many opportunities for me. It was a well-paced course with an experienced instructor. Learning the Bowen Technique in a small group meant that we were well-supported. I was so impressed and excited about the future that I have furthered my study and completed the Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy. I can highly recommend this training and understand now what it means to “trust the process!"”
