Karen Hedrick is a very experienced Bowen Training Australia trainer and assessor, teaching in the Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy and Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy for more than 21 years. She also offers workshops around Australia as well as internationally. She has enjoyed teaching international practitioners in many countries including Italy, Germany, Austria, Romania, Denmark, and Crete.
Karen commenced her Bowen therapy training in 1998 after receiving treatment and experiencing the amazing changes that occurred in her body as a result. She fell in love with the technique and it changed her life profoundly.
The most appealing aspect of Bowen therapy for Karen is its gentleness combined with the powerful ability of this modality to stimulate the body’s own innate healing.
She became a successful full-time Bowen practitioner after leaving her 20-year teaching career as a secondary school Science and Biology teacher last century. She has been the co-owner of Border Natural Therapies Wodonga since 2003, which is a well-established multi practitioner clinic, offering Bowen therapy, remedial massage, myotherapy, counselling and medical intuition. Our clinic motto is “Helping you move and feel better.”
Karen enjoys sharing her passion and understanding of this amazing technique and is committed to providing high-quality training. Because of this desire, Karen and Michael Quinlivan played a vital role in introducing the national accreditation of the Bowen therapy training first introduced by Border College of Natural Therapies in 2005.
Offering more than 40 years of teaching experience in secondary schools, TAFE, and university, Karen brings a strong foundation and skills necessary to deliver training effectively. She really enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with existing Bowen practitioners and introducing new students to the wonders of Bowen therapy.
Karen and Michael Quinlivan also offer the following CEU workshops to Bowen practitioners and students who have completed Module 7:
