Robyn Wood has had a relationship with Bowen therapy from an early age. A successful Bowen therapist, Robyn has developed and delivers Bowen workshops both in Australia and internationally.
Robyn says,
“Tom Bowen came to our Bellarine Peninsular Farm on a regular basis during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.
He did his therapeutic moves on my father first. There was a farm accident, with the horns of a male sheep and my father’s elbow. My father was astounded that the gentle moves Tom did, reduced the swelling and gave him back his elbow mobility! My mother had issues with her neck and the same wonderful restoration of movement occurred. I had horse riding injuries from time to time, and Tom Bowen always made my body comfortable and happy.
My absolute passion is to teach the Bowen technique, in its pure form, all over the world. I have been fortunate to do this during the last 16+ years of my teaching career, and have taught Bowen in every continent in the world! How wonderful is that?
Yes indeed, Bowen changes lives! It could change yours too, so visit the course search for training dates.”
Robyn’s passion for Bowen therapy led to organising the first Bowen Conference in 2000 on the Gold Coast. She thought that if just 100 people came she would be happy, but more than 350 attended and it was a marvelous occasion!
A huge desire to expand the recognition of Bowen therapy inspired Robyn to develop six specialised continuing education workshops. Topics include chronic fatigue, stroke care, diabetes, sports, joint and muscle taping, and neck pain. Robyn has taught these specialised workshops worldwide since 2004. She has also been a guest speaker at Bowen AGMs and conferences around the world.
