A background in Occupational Therapy, soft-tissue injury management and pain management led to Kathryn Purse pursuing an interest in Bowen therapy. She became committed to learning about the technique when a respected Bowen therapist successfully treated members of her family.
Kathryn went on to complete Certificate IV and Diploma training and after establishing a successful mixed practice of Occupational Therapy and Bowen therapy, became a Bowtech-accredited instructor.

Kathryn is enthusiastic about teaching and sharing her knowledge and skills with students. She has a wealth of knowledge about health and medical conditions gained during her formal training and her work experience in various fields including hospitals, rehabilitation centres and private practice. Her rural background provides her with a deep understanding of the health challenges faced by people living in regional areas. Kathryn is keen to assist others to attain the qualifications to be able to provide much needed services in those areas.
Along with her enthusiasm for the modality of Bowen therapy and its healing qualities, Kathryn Purse has business acumen and experience that can assist graduates to set up their own practices and build financial incomes and careers in the provision of Bowen Therapy services.
