Ailsa Young

Ailsa Young’s journey with the Bowen Technique began long before she became a qualified practitioner in 2012; it started at the age of 10 when her father, Peter Morris, a certified Bowen Therapist through Bowtech, alleviated her hay fever and sinus issues with his therapeutic skills. This early encounter ignited a lifelong connection to Bowen Therapy.

While Ailsa initially pursued careers in hospitality and pharmacy, the birth of her two children prompted a career change. Her pursuit of massage studies led her to become a Myotherapist, but her unwavering belief in the transformative power of the Bowen Technique inspired her to further explore its gentle and non-invasive approach to enhancing health and well-being.

A pivotal moment came a decade after the birth of her second child, defying earlier medical expectations,  Ailsa welcomed a son into her family. This personal triumph fueled her determination to contribute to the well-being of others.

Recognising her expertise, a local GP invited Ailsa to integrate Bowen Therapy into an Allied Health Practice, where she dedicated a decade to providing positive outcomes for diverse conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, mental health issues, and pregnancy-related concerns. Ailsa’s outreach extended to supporting new mothers, infants, and families, including those with autistic children, earning her respect and referrals from medical professionals.

Now residing in the picturesque Illawarra region, Ailsa is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles. Whether collaborating with athletes to elevate their performance or aiding individuals in navigating the stresses of daily life, Ailsa believes Bowen therapy can benefit anyone.

Her commitment to sharing knowledge led her to become an assessor for Bowen Training Australia in 2015. Eager to expand her impact, Ailsa looks forward to teaching the Bowen Technique in 2024, embracing the opportunity to empower others to make positive differences in people’s lives.

In Ailsa’s words,

I am passionate about my knowledge, and it’s not mine to keep. Knowledge is power.

Embark on your journey of helping others today with Ailsa’s wealth of experience and dedication to the transformative potential of Bowen Therapy.
