Kathryn Purse began her Bowen Therapy journey via a background in Occupational Therapy, soft-tissue injury management, and pain management. Her commitment to learning the technique deepened when a respected Bowen Therapist successfully treated members of her family, inspiring her to explore its potential further.
After completing her Certificate IV and Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy, Kathryn established a thriving mixed practice, combining Occupational Therapy and Bowen Therapy. Her passion for the modality led her to become a Bowtech-accredited Instructor, sharing her expertise with aspiring therapists.
“I enjoy that healing and pain relief can occur without painful and difficult interventions. This to me is the wonder of Bowen Therapy.”
Kathryn brings a wealth of knowledge to her teaching, drawn from her extensive training and diverse experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and private practice. Her rural upbringing has given her a deep understanding of the unique health challenges faced by people in regional areas, fuelling her passion to help others gain the skills and qualifications to provide much-needed services in these communities.
In addition to her enthusiasm for Bowen Therapy’s healing power, Kathryn also offers valuable business insights. Her experience in building a successful practice equips her to guide graduates in setting up their own practices, creating sustainable careers, and generating financial stability in the Bowen Therapy field.
