Farida Irani

Farida Irani is a holistic health practitioner, Ayurveda practitioner and instructor, a Clinical Aromatherapist and teacher specialising in Aromatic medicine and remedial therapies, a senior Reflexologist, a Bowen Therapist, and Bowen Therapy trainer and assessor. She has run a successful practice with her daughter Khursheed, Subtle Energies, since the early nineties.

She has presented at several international conferences in natural therapies and complementary health sciences, worldwide.

Her book “The Magic of Ayurveda Aromatherapy” details rare and unique oils and how different complementary modalities can work in harmony with this ancient philosophy. She pioneered Ayurveda Aromatherapy and conducts a nationally recognised Diploma course in Ayurveda Aromatherapy.

Farida completed post-graduate studies (Ayurveda Nishnata) with world-renowned Prof Dr. P H Kulkarni (Ex Dean Ayurveda University, Pune, India). In October 2006, the International Ayurveda Open University awarded her Ayurveda Parangat (Doctor of Ayurveda) in recognition of her research in Ayurveda.

Her family business Subtle Energies manufactures and supplies skincare products and high-grade therapeutic prescriptive blends to spas globally together with exclusive SE signature treatments.

Farida created the popular Ayurveda Aromatherapy product Bowtech Ease for the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and supplies to clinics and practitioners worldwide, with very positive feedback.

As well as providing Bowen therapy training in Australia, Farida has established Bowen therapy in India and Taiwan. Together with her team of dedicated practitioners, she regularly volunteers in India with the blind, the mentally challenged, slum kids, and the disabled. She has also developed a continuing education workshop for Bowen practitioners, Understanding Bowen from an Ayurvedic perspective, and conducts workshops internationally and around Australia.

She firmly believes that Bowen Therapy must stand on its own with no dilutions and no other tactile work involved. She is an Ambassador for Bowen Therapy and promotes it wherever she is invited to speak or teach globally. Farida is now reviving Bowtech, the original Bowen Therapy technique, in Hong Kong.

Farida is on the advisory board of the Ayurveda Research chair at Western Sydney University’s National Institute of Complimentary Medicine (NICM), funded by the Ministry of Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga, Siddhi, Unani, Homeopathy), a ministry of the Government of India.

She continues to promote these sciences through her work and remains dedicated to helping and encouraging people to attain a well-balanced lifestyle.

NOTE: Registrations for SP2 Master Class are via Bowtech directly. Please contact them here.
